He had a few good years at Temple and Baylor! And if the reason is that he may/would bring Brady…one successful season and Brady is off to be a head coach somewhere else.
Rhules record…
NCAA: 47–43 (.522)
Bowls: 1–2 (.333)

You don’t see a consistent progression of his teams?

Sigh.

You can't look at overall record when taking over shite teams.

Anyone that can turn Temple and Baylor (perennial losers) into 10 win teams in just a couple of years is a damn fine coach.

Took 2 awful jobs and had a lot of success. Great recruiter. So well respected as a football coach that he got multiple NFL offers from Baylor.

He had back to back double digit win seasons at Temple. You have any idea how shite Temple was before he got there ?

Takes bad situations and makes them winners. A tough, hard nosed, no nonsense brand of football. Exactly what LSU needs.

Nick Saban was 34-24 (0-3 in bowls) at Michigan State. Ed Orgeron is over .700 with a national championship at LSU. I’ll let you sort through that information and deduce why one was hired at LSU and one was fired from LSU

Maybe because people don’t have “good years” at temple & he won a conference championship there
