The idea is that Oklahoma is a tougher job in the SEC than it is in the Big 12 because of the competition and recruiting in that state.

Because we want to believe that we are the best and want to have the best. We've had two coaches previously that left us with a bad taste and want to break the bank to move on.

When Bama, Ohio State and Michigan need coaches, they don’t settle. They make the best unavailable guy available. Maybe he won’t come here but if we are too scared to go after the big dogs, why did we just let go of a guy who won a championship two years ago mid season. In the history of Oklahoma football, they have never had a coach leave for another college job. We would have to pay unprecedented money to make this happen.
