Why can’t Fickell announce he’s going to be LSU’s coach but finish season for Cincy?

It’s not like Cincy can blame him for the upgrade or the 100 million dollar contract? I don’t see the huge conflict.

I don't see it possible we hire him. If he were our target he would be hired by now and announced if he could.

Are you serious? College football is played by 18-22 year old kids, a sport where coaches ask players to trust them and ask them to run thru walls for them.
A coach preparing kids to play for and win a conference championship and possibly play for a national championship would not want to undermine the confidence his kids have in him.
Do you have kids? Or do you remember being 18?
