Although Saban appears to still be going strong, 70 is just too old and probably going to retire within 5 years. Only way it works is to spend major $$$ and bring in a head coach in waiting with a planned phase out into retirement. And why would he do that when he can add some more rings staying at AL when LSU will take a great coach 2 to 4 years to fix this disaster.

At the halftime interview last night, dude looked tired. His team surged in the second half, but can't help but wonder how much he wants to keep doing this.

Saban could win a natty here in year 2.

He’s 70. Fans lose sight of this. The vast majority of people are retired by 70. Of those still working I doubt hardly any have a job that demanding.

White whale could actually be a black one. (See Tucker or Tomlin)

Saban would still have motivation if he came here. For all of the LSU fans that have said "we'd have won 5 or 6 nattys if Saban didn't leave" he'd be out to prove them right.

Not sure he could even pull that one off. This program is a total shite storm right now from top to bottom. Our talent may not even be close to what we think it is.

Anyone who mentions Saban non-sarcastically is fooling themselves. He is SET at Bama, why would he risk trying to fix the dumpster fire that is LSU?

I truly cannot believe it is even being seriously discussed. Saban won’t leave Bama unless he is retiring or dead.

This would have been year 22 in Tiger town for ole Nick. We would DEFINITELY be in double digits in regard to the Natty's had he remained here.

I’m still waiting for the Saban to LSU with Napier OC HCIW pipe dreamers to show up. Given all the Napier rumors, I’m surprised no lunatic on this board has brought this insanity up yet.

We won’t know anything for a month, at least. This speculation, hope, and what if’s are for the amateurs. SW will bring in a champion, we will fire him in 5 years, and then do this all over again. Just enjoy the fact that we have new hope.

I was talking to co workers about this. I don’t think Saban would come but if he did, it would take him 2 years to win. He would be able to flip recruits and use the transfer portal to get his players in quickly. If he was promised a statue, he might come back lol.

frick it. Let’s ride.

If we’re gonna pay nick saban money to our next coach anyway, might as well go for the man himself.
