Is he going to pull an Urban Meyer and sit out a year for health issues?

Looks like he’s sitting out two years mate
He is retired
He is retired

Doubtful. I think Bob is legitimately done

If he came back, I think it would only be for ND.

He’s done coaching.
Those close to him say that he has always been open about how he was going to retire by 57 or 58 because his dad was that old when he had a heart attack on the sideline and died en route to the hospital.
He’s not coaching again, but I fully expect him to assume the mantle from Gruden for the next few years until people stop bringing him up.

Stoops is done. His father (a football coach) died of a heart attack at age 57, and he doesn't want the same thing to happen to him.
His house in Norman is huge--he'd probably lose a bundle if he ever tried to sell it. It's so large, someone stole a car from his garage, while he was at home, and he didn't realize it for several days.

Why in the world would Stoops retire from a Tier 1 position just to go elsewhere? Would be a mistake. He's definitely done.

Sitting in the most ridiculous house you can imagine just a few miles north of mine counting his millions.

he retired from a great gig where he had been for over 15 years. He could have had the UF job if he was interested in coaching so soon after leaving.

The only chance I could see him coming back is as an assistant for his brother.
