Where is Demeco Ryans name coming from?

Dude is a former linebacker who just finished his 2nd year as an LB coach. What about that background says he’s ready to be a major college DC? You might as well hire Kwon Alexander for DC, he’s got almost as much experience and at least has LSU ties. Jesus.

Well this isn’t close to being true. Ryan’s is 10 years older and has actual coaching experience. Alexander is still playing. Not saying Id hire Ryans haven’t heard his name and seems like a stretch I’m mean Raymond would be more logical but your comparison is faulty

If he's seriously a candidate he'd have to be so low on the totem pole everyone told LSU thanks but no thanks. Otherwise, if he's high on that list then they need to fire O now with all the bigger names of established DCs still sitting around LSU could make a run at.
If they're limiting their search to a DC who can coach LBs only then they're destined for failure as that limits who they can get. It's better to get the best DC available and then make the position hires afterwards.

Uh, that was the whole point of my post. Ryans is not a credible candidate. Anyone who suggests he is is not credible, thus my mockery about hiring Kwon. Ryans name had been mentioned in several threads, I wanted to be clear that no one should take him seriously.
