When will we get an announcement?

Depends on if the target is coaching in a championship game. If so they will wait. If not then I’d guess 3-4 days after the end of the season.

Early signing day is dec 15. 4 weeks away.

Conf championship games are 3 weeks away. I would imagine that if the next coach is not in their conf championship game then the announcement will be in 2 weeks. If they are then its possible 2 weeks but most likely 3. If its a coach that is fighting for the playoffs with a win in the conf championship then I imagine its 3 with a loss, and there won't be one before the playoffs with a win.

If the coach is someone like Petersen then timing doesn't matter and it would have been announced already. So its not Petersen or Stoops or Pederson etc.

Rhule and Meyer I would imagine they're out as well. Rhule is in the playoff hunt and Meyer could quit and announce anytime.

So if the records hold as of now then its 2 weeks if the coach is Aranda, Jimbo, Tucker, Campbell, Kelly, Kiffin, Dabo.

3 weeks for Napier and Riley. But they kind of fall into the category of who I could see going to their championship game and still making the announcement before it.

3 or more for Cristobal and Fickell
