God man, the panthers are 5-6. They're not the Jets. Crazy to say but the NFL is more patient than the SEC West.

Jordy is finally out of the closet. He's pushing the gas station attendant. Makes sense why so many posters have been deepthroating the 3rd best funbelt coach.

That guy is the biggest gamble on the list right now - and it's not close. Hiring Napier would be equivalent to shooting dice behind a 7/11 on a piece of cardboard that isn't yours. You just don't do it if you're in the big time.

It's gonna be Lincoln Riley or Dave Aranda and still, some of you Napiersexuals will pout and melt.

:doublebird:
I mean I can see it but he's just a quiet Willie-type character. Watching the game tonight was not fun. 2nd half everyone (except herb and valanciunas) were loafing.

He will likely do the same for any power 5 team

What makes that likely

Veteran Leadership Needed

Posted by Omnipotent Tiger on 11/20/21 at 9:23 pm
And I'm not talking about guys like Jrue and Bledsoe. I'm talking about guys like Lou Williams, Patrick Beverly, etc. Some scrappers who will show these guys how to demand respect and play consistent D.

Willie Green IS the coach. Valanciunas IS our other big man we needed. Graham IS the point guard we need.

Need vets off the bench that can play D and facilitate.

Gotta get the tub of lard off the couch too.

here's the legal checklist for self defense:

Action in response to an unlawful threat?
-yes

Threat immediate?
-yes

Was the response proportional to the threat?
-yes, he had reason to fear for his life

Thats all it takes
You are as NapierBoy as they come
Unsurprising that the Napier squad brings up poles

:yack: :yack:
We're not here to agree, we're here to argue about the gas station attendant. GTFO
Napier guys pack hummus on fishing trips
This guy is the 6th or 7th option at best on the list of possibilities. If you are a grown man and think Napier is the future, please, please, please go get yourself checked for a degenerative brain disease.

A school like LSU does not hire from the funbelt.

Hiring this gas station attendant would be program suicide.

:doublebird:

The Napier boy melt on this thread is insane. Yall gotta stop eating paint chips.

K State favored over Baylor

Almost as if Baylor and Vegas know Aranda is on the move... :geauxtigers:
Lots of doubt... Just how Woodward wants it

New Movement and Smoke Screens

Posted by Omnipotent Tiger on 11/19/21 at 12:24 pm
Reliable sources reporting that Bob Stoops' agent is in negotiations with LSU to be the next head football coach. This would be a "Jay Johnson-esque" hire which would bring some continuity to the football program. Stoops is a proven football mind and has had "top floor" success at Oklahoma.

Riley is just a smokescreen based off of secondhand information. Someone in the building got within earshot of cap'n Ahab and heard "Oklahoma coach" and ran with it.

This is the white whale. 0-3 in the CFP? small visor? Nope. Our guy has a bigger visor than Lincoln. Get excited tiger fans!

Everyone pretty much knew the receivers would be arse... they just expected MT to be there. His absence highlights the glaring roster deficiencies.

The Truth of the Lonzo Trade

Posted by Omnipotent Tiger on 11/18/21 at 10:34 am
Griff made himself a laughingstock when he tried to trade Bledsoe for first rounders, like he was worth something.

At the deadline, Nobody gave him a good offer (because they were laughing at him). Griff was too timid to trade Lonzo for something because he didn't want to piss off Zion (and his stepdaddy) by making a move that would be perceived as tanking.

Griff was hoping we would make the playoffs and he could make the easy decision of extending the PG who just helped take the team to the playoffs.

When we fizzled out and the wins stopped due to Zion injuries and Gentry's incompetent rotations, Griff was fricked.

He couldn't pay him as a restricted FA because he was/is obviously overrated.

We got Devonte Graham, who is a better PG.

Griff's foolishness basically cost us 3 firsts. (Two in the adams deal necessary to get rid of Bledsoe, one in the graham deal).

Edit for clarity: The Lonzo trade was terrible and we should have moved him at the deadline when we could have, Griff's fault. Graham trade was good

Griffin's Draft Record

Posted by Omnipotent Tiger on 11/17/21 at 9:08 am
2019
1- Zion
4 (Traded for 8 & 17)
8- Jaxon Hayes
17 - NAW
35 - Louzada

2020
13-Kira Lewis Jr.
24&60- (Traded in S. Adams deal)

2021
10- (Traded in J. Valanciunas deal)
17- Trey Murphy
35- Herb Jones

Obviously, the jury is out on most of these guys and contrary to our record I am optimistic about our future. But NAW and Jaxon must prove to be valuable rotational players at a minimum this year so as to not be labeled busts.

Griff's record to this point seems impossibly mediocre (with the exception of the almighty Herb). This coupled with his altercation with Alvin Gentry and his persistent mismanagement of Zion Williamson (See injuries, private piano concert) has me truly frustrated with him. Is Lebron the only reason he's here?
