We love that he openly disrespects Ole Miss. Sounds like a perfect coach for this rivalry.

No its not. Ole miss is far along tks to kiffin. He has a better opportunity and he is exploring it. Its impossible to keep this quiet. He has done a pretty goid job of keeping it quiet but the agents leak this stuff. He did not say he was staying and then leave as saban did.

And then finally, you find your team in one of those specials seasons you’ve been building toward, where a championship run is as real as it’s ever been. But instead of all the energy and attention being on the team and what’s happening on the field, you spend half the season in a quasi-reality show where your head coach is entertaining abandoning the program. Decades of investments being disrespected by a man child who’s enamored by a shiny new toy sitting in a window, who’s enamored by social media attention, who thinks he’s the modern Steve Spurrier but doesn’t have a single piece of hardware to back it up. Ridiculous.
If this was two seasons ago no one would give a shite because Ole Miss would be on the outside looking in on a 4 team playoff.

Such is life. Money rules, unfortunately

Think of it a different way:
You are a CEO of a large company. This company has been around for a long time and has historically been fairly successful. When you took over as CEO, the company was struggling but now it is doing well on the market. Things are good, you have a good paycheck, the staff listens to you and does what you ask. However, the market is unpredictable and you know this.
Then, a top 10 company offers you a position to be THEIR CEO. This company historically out performs your company that you have helped get to the top. You see a similar situation - “I can go in this bigger company on a down year and get them where I want it”.
This is essentially what Lane is doing. Just because you like your current job doesn’t mean it’s wrong to look forward and have bigger goals. Especially because money/resources are on the line, he’s looking out for himself and his family in an industry that is notorious for firing coaches left and right.
There’s disrespect, and there’s business. Disrespectful would be telling a team “I’m not leaving” and then doing exactly that. Or bad mouthing the program and then leaving.
Just my 2 cents

How exactly is he trolling his school?

To be fair this has been the way College Football has always operated. Even before the NIL and Transfer Portal Coaching changes has always been cutthroat.

My God...some of y'all are soft as baby shite.
I mean, I kind of agree.
I thought Lane had turned a corner, but this is his kind of MO about wanting all the attention. There’s no question this is a distraction and this shite doesn’t leak if it’s not from his camp.

Going on national tv for an interview and stirring the pot when you’ve already let your side leak shite is pretty disrespectful and not good business imo

It’s simple. Kiffin is leveraging his future pay while he can. It’s a smart move too. He’s always a timely fumble or interception away from hero to zero then being out the championship picture.
This is what CFB has become. He’s just turning the tables right now while he can.

Because Texas for all intents a purposes is a lateral move.
No it’s not. They have way deeper pockets than LSU also by this logic, LSU is a lateral move from Ole Miss.

What Petrino did to his wife was disrespectful when he crashed the motorcycle.
That prick chewing out the refs for a solid 15 minutes against LSU instead of coaching was also disrespectful

What? I’m guessing there’s a word or two you must not understand because I both read and comprehended everything perfectly.
