Would the Rantards crucify SW for not hiring him?

With this post, you’re considered a ranter.

Is Brian Kelly going to turn into DiNardo as well?

Why would you worry about this right now?

If we’d have settled for Stoops or Campbell, quite likely.

BK is a hall or fame coach today and arguably the best steal hire in college football history. The timing of a potential playoff for ND makes the timing remarkable.

Bigger likelihood that he's the SEC's version of Tom Herman

I have such a hard time reconciling what Billy Napier has done with what he's been purported to be. He may be a very good coach but the way he's been characterized overshoots that by miles, and it's because of these over-characterizations that I've decided he's likely overrated.

We couldn’t gamble with this hire and Napier is a serious gamble.

If he thumps LSU repeatedly, then yeah, sure.

LSU hired a seasoned, proven winner at the highest level of football to reorganize the program. If Napier does well, good for him. I’ve liked the guy the few times I’ve met him, but there’s no reason to think LSU won’t be very very successful under Brian Kelly. Even if Napier does succeed (frick florida), LSU is in good hands.

Billy isn't an offensive genius in a time where our program sucked....so I think we'll be OK

Boy, Steve S sure gets glorified a lot for never having a undefeated season and winning 1 championship.

That would suck. What if he ends up like green teeth and humps a shark?

Because everyone wants a dynasty, and in order to get one, we need to hire a middle-aged man, not a 60 year old.

If Kelly and Napier both turn out great, then Florida made the better hire. However, the odds are longer with a less proven guy like Napier.

Playing the “what if” game is a fun way to pass the time. Not so much for decision making.
