At first I was happy we finally dumped Les and the games got enjoyable to watch again. It was like I had nothing to lose. Pure happiness again instead of stress and frustration with garbage offence.

Now, I find myself screaming frick you at the top of my lungs at my radio when the President of Guaranty broadcasting because says O should be the top choice on the air. I completely lost it. Wish I could go back to not caring.

Now to debate whether or not I can be happy if we run all over two failing teams to close out the season.

But you just know that Orgeron bleeds purple and gold. It would be really great if he succeeded. How bout that recruiting? I guess the guy running the radio station doesn't bother to check Jimbo's recruiting ability at FSU.

It has forced me to insult Coach O fans, who say insane things, something I'm very comfortable with and enjoy doing.

it's depressing to feel like maybe it would be better long term for us to drop one of these last two games.

Its made me realize our fan base is far dumber than I already thought it was.

And I thought it was really dumb already.

Nothing. Simply confirms that Louisiana is still it's own worst enemy.

So much truth in that statement.

The same groundswell of support for Les Miles last November is now showing out in support of Coach O. People just don't have the ability to make the tough decisions, even when they are so easy to see the tough decision is the correct decision.

Nothing, but it has made me wonder how some people who post here can make it through the day without hurting themselves.

Granted, it's going to be interesting in my house if Jimbo is hired. Wife graduated from FSU, and although she really doesn't have time anymore to follow college ball, any time I bring it up, ".............aaahhh, I like Jimbo...."

The sad part is, there are a few people who's opinion I respect that seem to have fallen for the political campaign that Coach O has been running. If the powers that be at LSU fail to go out and hire a proven WINNING head coach when the program is set up as good as it will ever be...

I may just give up.

He cozied up to BR sports talk radio. Actually hired one of the morning guys. Immediately invited back all the old players. Plays up the cajun angle etc. Ugh. All he has done is do the opposite of what Les loved to do that drove us nuts.

It's a political campaign and he's snowed over quite a few.

I'm ok if he's the guy after we get turned down by the A listers. Problem is I don't think they'd turn us down.

Does anyone remember when Orgeron was at USC or Tennessee or Ole Miss. They weren't crowing about him bleeding purple and gold then. Now he's our favorite son.

It showed me how stupid our fans can be. They can't wait to hate the new coach. If it's not coach A, back to the 90's we go. No, coach A will bring us back to the 90's.

Makes me happy that no one on this site makes any decisions at LSU at all.

It has really made me wonder how many people on this board have ever had to hire/fire someone. Rule number one when interviewing candidates for a job is not to make an emotional decision. Just because you like someone, doesn't mean they're the right person for the job. Rule number two is do your homework. A persons history, no matter how far back it may go, tells a lot about their future.

Take football out of the equation. O would be the guy who comes in with a ton of charisma and an unimpressive resume'. He's a job hopper. He was fired from his highest position due to lack of performance and has since been a journeyman. He had a brief stint as a manager during a transition period, in which he did fairly well. But there's still that gaping black spot on his resume'. He'd be a risky hire. You're not entirely sure if he can get the job done.

Jimbo is the successful guy. He's been in a leadership role for an extended period of time. He doesn't have a big personality, but you know he can get the job done because he's proven it at another company pretty close to what you do. He's the safest choice and guarantees you'll have some continued success.

Herman is the young rock star. He's done great things at a much smaller company for a short period of time. He's got a stupid high IQ so you know he can digest the information required to be successful. He's a little timid and comes off a bit like a nerd, but you know the guy has a super high ceiling. He's a bit a risk because of the lack of experience, but the guy could be the best thing that's ever happened to your company.

I don't think the majority of our fans are processing that information. They see yawyaw foobaw cher, dat du der can get dem boys hype and shi! They have no idea whats truly at stake with this decision.

my short term mental health has been much better watching my alma mater have fun playing football and winning games. I am enjoying them play again; it's been awhile.

my long term mental health is not affected by a fricking football coach. sorry.

as far as the decision itself (on who the coach is), I have no input so what the hell. also, NOBODY, not even you know how successful any candidate will be. both O, Herman and Fisher have given us indications but O is only one that has actually coached an LSU team.

Mental health? Are you fricking kidding me? I have a life away from LSU. This search makes for entertaining talk but if you let it actually mess with you emotionally at all, you need to reevaluate your life.
