That would be a good hire for UVA. I thought Bronco was at his dream job?

Definitely thought if he ever left it would be for a better job than that one.

Meh. Could have been worse, and I'll be optimistic. Was hoping for a bigger splash, but UVA football is no great draw for an elite coach. He's had decent success at BYU and may do great. Here's hoping.

I read an article before that said ND is the only school that can feasible be an independent. Wonder if that played a part in his decision.

Makes sense... he took BYU as far as they could go and it looks like BYU is in no man's land when it comes to being in a conference.

This is just a weird weird hire.

He's a good coach but would not have imagined him leaving BYU. Particularly for a middle of the road at best P5 school. Especially one on the east coast.

It's only "meh" because Mark Richt supposedly interviewed with UVA and we were serious contenders. With that expectation removed, I am ecstatic. He has done great things at BYU for a long time. 10 straight bowl invitations.

It is so far out in left field with all the names we were considering. Brohm and Calhoun were the main ones being thrown around
