It’s not that Ensminger or Sullivan are bad coaches, but it’s not the right time for them.
Pete Jenkins is a great coach but he should not be DC.
As for Ensminger as OC it’s more than scheming and play calling. It’s also Recruiting. He’s gonna be 60.
Further if you had to take one position at LSU and admit we have been lacking at recruiting and developing it would be QB.
How do you think it’s gonna play in living rooms? If you are a parent and you think your kid has NFL talent are you gonna trust to him to a 60 year old who hasn’t been a full time play caller this century?

Haha were not winning nine games next year with Ensminger as the OC, so you don’t have to worry about that.

well put. I clearly do not understand this "safe hire" concept. imo, there is no such thing. and going for 8-9 win seasons is certainly no going to keep either of them their jobs. that should be off year results.

How the frick do you spend that much on a top tier defensive coordinator then turn around and go the cheap route with your offensive coordinator?
I think we all like Steve, but he even said he didn't want to be the permanent OC. How do you give a guy a job he does t even really want?

There is absolutely NO WAY IN HELL that we win 9 games with a schedule like next season. Not with the same archaic arse offense like we’ve shown of late. O and Joe must be Neanderthals if they think this is a “safe” and “secure” hire. This sucks donkey balls and we will be stuck with no offense for years to come.
