I'd say it as "LSU was his preference all along, with Florida being a seriously enticing fallback".
Both programs have greater potential than Ole Miss does. Kiffin has peaked out at Ole Miss, with them being 'in playoff contention'. Similar level of success at LSU or Florida would be 'perennial playoff team that can win it all'.
I know Ole Miss hates to accept that, but it's simply what the case is. And LSU probably has the better potential, as it's base isn't as contested as Fla's yearly.

I don't think it's a need. Just a nice bonus that his son can earn his own money and get his name out there before he even chooses a college.

I hear you, and you may be right. But Oxford this morning doesn't mean he couldn't have been on the plane this afternoon.
And again, do you know someone that is in Oxford that personally saw him? Or is this just a report, like all of these other reports?

I just read the Florida paid site. Their mod said the family was in Gainesville yesterday and still thinks its Florida and he's playing LSU for leverage.
