this doesn't make sense. High schools are not funding NIL deals. There is nothing to match. An NIL deal is an NIL deal and has nothing to do with what high school someone attends.
Same could be said for universities. It happens through boosters of said high schools, same as college.

That'd be nuts. They're about to be 11-1 and host a playoff game. They could literally be in the national title game.
I just can't see anyone doing that.
Well that's Ole Miss doing this, not him.

Cheers for the info.
After the last few coaching searches, forgive me for not holding my breath until I hear the contract is signed and the press conference is happening.

I went to get a fire extinguisher in the Baton Rouge area and every place was sold out. Hmmm...

There’s zero shot ole Miss would let him go before their season ends even if he does end up at LSU.

It's not my best work baws, but it'll have to do for now.

The problem with LSU is this statement here (if true)
If Kiffin comes and you are going to pay a boatload to get him here, he should be able to pick his staff.

Keeping Baker and defensive staff is top priority from LSU in the agreement with a yearly salary of 13.5 million.

In before he is UF coach.

Don't underestimate stupidity from Ole Miss.

So, what is Ole Piss to do? Give him $13M a year to match LSU and FL, only for Kiffin and Sexton to do it to them all over again next year? And, you don't think he won't be doing the same thing to LSU if he gets to 9 or 10 wins next year?

All of the Ole Miss people are saying he's been given an ultimatum and it's not his choice.
Ole Miss admin to Kiffin:
"You want to go to LSU? Then good! Get the hell out of my life. Who needs you. Beat it. Leave me alone!"

They barely beat Florida. Calm down.
LK knows they wont go very deep in the playoffs.

It isn't crazy as you think. Isn't Gordon a big UHigh supporter / booster?

Update for 11/17/25
LSU's next head coach will be Lane Kiffin.............or Nick Saban.

We know he probably will. He doesn’t stay anywhere for long. We don’t care though because we just like overpaying the hell out of whatever a hot name is and then paying them ridiculous buyouts. We have infinite money just laying around. Forever Money LSU

Exactly. Don't make it mandatory, but offer the option if he chooses or maybe allow him the option to keep who he wants. If Golding wants to come back home, he will be the DC.
