Hoke is a last resort. There's no way he will be hired unless it's absolutely true that all other options have been expended. There's also no way that the fanbase as a whole will be in favor of such a move.

Not sure what you are reading, but the vast majority of stuff I have seen has most Michigan fans feeling that Hoke would be a fallback hire and that he isn't experienced enough.
He may do well in the long run, but most Michigan fans certainly aren't going to be happy with that hire IMO.
