Let me get this straight:

Tulane loses their coach to Houston.

Tulane hires Troy‘s coach as a replacement.

Troy hires Notre Dame’s OC as head coach.

Notre Dame hires LSU’s OC to replace the guy who went to Troy, who replaced the guy who went to Houston who left Tulane, because Tulane didn’t hire the athletic director he wanted.

So this is Tulane’s fault.

This is not the reason why he left.

It’s actually Texas’ fault.

If they don’t bolt from the Big 12 and force them to expand, then the Big 12 never adds Houston, and then Houston stays one of the better teams in the AAC, so they don’t fire Dana Holgorsen, so then they don’t have to hire Willie Fritz.

They weren’t really one of the better teams in the AAC under Holgo. He went 4-8 (T-5th), 3-5 (6th), 12-2 (T-1st, lost to Cincy in title game), 8-5 (T-4th w/SMU who they lost to so really 5th)) in his four AAC years. Assuming the AAC stays intact Houston would have been 3rd at best behind Tulane/SMU and likely worse as they also lost to Cincy and UCF this year. His 12-2 season looks like an outlier.

My Mom and Dad both went to Tulane as we were from New Orleans, actually my Dad was br. In Franklin La. anyway my Grandma lived a block from Tulane Stadium and I Hated LSU because I was born to hate them. Whenever LSU came to town The Whole Area Changed to a Football Wonderland and I was in Awe! I would tell my Grandma how much I loved LSU's colors and they had so many fans, it was like Mardi Gras! She said LSU fans were obnoxious etc etc this was from the time I was old enough to remember 6ish until I was 15. Then we moved to West Virginia ?? Actually WV was beautiful and I loved it but my Dad listened to WWL every night and we started listening to LSU and I was determined to go to Tiger Stadium! FF to 18 years old we moved to Mississippi to be close to the relatives and I went to my 1st LSU Game! It was like this is why my Grandma didn't like LSU they were obnoxious,Loud and I Loved It! So since 1973 I listened to the games and since 1975 I BLEED PURPLE & GOLD The End Merry Christmas

It seems the proper revenge would be for y'all to hire Slade Nagle away from us.

We don’t tend to spend a lot of time thinking about lower-tier programs. Hope you guys enjoyed this brief period of relevance.

I understand that it is an old saying which is why I asked what I asked. If I have to explain that I can't help you.
