i can't see gonzalez getting the OC spot for a few reasons, namely talent to run that scheme

I keep getting this awesome feling that Gonzo will design an offense around Shep as QB. I think that kid deserves a chance to run a college-style offense catered to his skills just like Tebow.

Would you say Mullen had the adaquent talent for his scheme this year?

tyson lee blows, but he is somewhat mobile

their backup was mobile as well

they were 65th in the country. not exactly mind-blowing either

i don't see LSU running an option attack (which is what UF/meyer runs and what gonzo knows) with our QBs

JJ: fast, but doesn't know how to run and hates contact
JL: slow
CG: slow

Well Florida is going from Tebow to Brantley.

Why can't we have 3 fun years of Shep and then transition to Garrett? They thought they could do it and apparently are...good coaches maximize the talent of their players.

we shall see about shep

the UF offense isn't the WV offense where the QB is an outside threat. i'm sure gonzo can adapt it

but shep at QB is as big of a risk to me as JJ running an option attack

225 ... Cauble is a sports reporter on Channel 2 (ABC) in Baton Rouge. After the Ole Miss debacle, I didn't see it but read here that Cauble pretty much called Miles a liar about him not having called clock it ... if you really want the right info search SPORTS2 .. that's Cauble's name here.

Well UF has to have something else in the playbook because Brantley isn't exactly Tebow or LeFevor (sp) for that matter.

I'd bet everything I had that if Gonzo was running the show with Shep at QB, our offense wouldn't be in the 100's

Whoever the offense coordinator is next year, be it Crowton, Gonzalez, or someone else, Miles needs to keep his arse out of the play calling. Just sit there and stare into the sunset or balance your check book.

Right, but it was only his first year, and it's not like he was going anywhere else anyways. Terrible business move.

first and foremost, they have to do something on offense to keep drives from stalling. Way too many three and outs. If that means Shep/JJ splitting time then IDGAF. They have to get that ground game going somehow

Amazing that coaches can do that. Adjusting is foreign to this current staff. As fun as it's been trying to make JJ run a pro-style offense with 5 progressions that he gets 1/5 of the way through..I'm ready to have an athlete run shop.
