I hope Stud follows him out the door. He is the real problem in my opinion. Offense was okay until this year, except the pic sixes, which was a problem.

miles has said in recent articles there would be no more adjustments to the staff. now a change is coming. you really think he changed his mind? the man was given an order from up top, and he is followign it.

or this move couldve been made weeks ago when Miles hired BG. Truth is...none of us really know.

I'm not a Gary Crowton fan, but I have serious issues with TAF (a bunch old men who never coached football) deciding on the hiring/firing of football coaches....if this is true

Wasn't Bama's problems the past couple of decades due to boosters having too much pull and continuously searching for the next Bear?

I don't think Miles ever committed to no more changes, he just said something like he didn't anticipate any. and how often does he tell stuff definitively anyway? he loves to play coy.

Dude, the entire fricking fan base wants Crowton gone. It's just a smart business move. If Miles is going to be too stubborn to make the call then I'm sure glad there is someone above him that's not afraid to. In this case, it's a good thing.

crowton being gone is a good thing. if it took TAF to do it, then so be it.

pretty obvious to me in his head he had crowton coming back next year. why wait even deeper into recruting to make this change? you really think miles had some master plan by firing crowton on his own tomorrow?

Because Miles has shown a preference for letting his fired coaches get a new job instead of just axing them. He doesn’t cut their legs out from under them when they attempt to look for a new job (you have better bargaining position if you already have a job). So he didn’t tell the media because A) he doesn’t have to and B) so he wouldn’t be a dick to his assistant.

I do agree that I don’t want TAF to have TOO much power, but I think this looks more like TAF enabling LSU to make the move they want by ponying up the cash. That is much appreciated. Let’s not always jump to the worst possible conclusion.

I doubt the CEO of a Fortune 500 company knows the in's and out's of every division of the company he runs, but I'll bet he can identify problems and take care of them as is necessary.

Not many people think rationally like you. TAF is NOT a good thing for LSU.
