Chesapeake is HQ'd in OKC...my bet is that it has more to do with oil and natural gas than Bob Stoops

Not to take anything away from LSU but their current facilities are not on par with what OU is having done this year and next. Now obviously LSU is in a richer recruiting area but OU is very close to Dallas and has pulled many top 10 classes under stoops while also recruiting very well in cali and even LA lately. Also with stoops bonuses he typically makes 6 mil + a year, so OU could most likely match anybody in terms of pay. I just don't see OU at any disadvantage to LSU. Both would be considered top 10 coaching positions with OU falling probably a couple spots ahead of LSU.

LSU needs to step up their Plane Game, that prop duster is weak..we should be rocking at least a G5
They have a Lear 45 painted the same way, but it's not that nice and is pretty run down because it flies so much.

Yet we schedule
FSU

Michigan
You only have FSU on your schedule every year. You did not SCHEDULE Michigan. You played them in a bowl game.
When was the last time you played a non-conference top 25 team outside of state lines? .....Heck, you haven't played ANY non-conference teams outside of the state of Florida in over 16 years!

Sorry geiser. Ou may have been great in the 70s and 80s but that ship has sailed grandpa gumps. Go back to your own board clown

Yeah yeah yeah we know oklahoma is the shite. Last time we played we won a title and you losers didnt. So you're going to expand your stadium. Big deal. We will still bring in better recruiting classes and win championships while you frickers build your new renovated stadium in an area with no football talent to speak of and won't win shite. Yall are choke artists. Keep living in the past bro, college football has changed alot since ou was dominant. Lsu has a brighter future than ou moving forward and it's not close. I believe any coach would see the obvious advantages to coaching at lsu over ou in todays world. Houston just scored again. Lol at you thinking we want bob stoops anyway.

They made the playoffs just last year while LSU fired their coach

It would be surprising if OU fans realized their school was not as easy to succeed at as some other schools with less historical prestige (Florida, Texas, UGA, tOSU, LSU, perhaps FSU) but it is the truth. Notre Dame fans didn't understand when Meyer went to Florida when they were holding the door open for him.
History is wonderful but it doesn't make a Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, or Nebraska as good of a job as schools with easier inroads to talent. Simple proximity with a quality coach is an almost overwhelming advantage. If Richt stays in place at Miami for the next ten years his access to talent easily gives him an advantage over OU, ND, and Nebraska (I won't say Michigan because I think Harbaugh might be enough better than Richt to overcome the recruiting disadvantage).

OU, ND, and UM recruit nationally. The "access to talent" argument is completely overstated on here for programs like that.
Even Nebraska, who has been down lately is currently ranked in the top 10.

Then why oh why did Urban pass by the most prestigious college football program in history (ND) to go to a johnnie come lately in Florida?
Why do most passionate football fans think Nebraska's days of dominance are behind them? You can't acknowledge what's gone on with teh fall of ND and Nebraska without admitting you understand the reason why.

There are closer airports to downtown OKC, than Norman. I'm not saying you're wrong, but it doesn't make sense to land in Norman, then drive all the way to OKC.

Guys, there is a tiger sanctuary near Norman.
