what the hell? Either your in or your out, the bowl game won't matter. Unless he has some sort of arrangement with Harbaugh to wait until after Stanford bowl game, but if Michigan wins a bowl game then how do you justify it then as opposed to now.

He's got $1.5 mil reasons to wait.

That's a lawsuit Michigan will face if they wait till then. They will end up settling that out of court and Rich Rod will get more than waiting till then.

Great. So LSU will get fricked again because all the good coaches will have already been snatched up by other schools.

For the retards out there, let me spell it out for you: RR is fired at Michigan after Jan 1. Miles is offered and jumps on it. LSU is screwed again just like when Saban left after the Cap One bowl.

Mike Archer could be had for $700K and a free subscription to field and stream.

That's how we wound up with Miles - Saban took off late in the game.

Lawsuit? On what grounds? Contractual buyout has been negotiated. Unless the contract says that he cannot be fired, except for cause, after a certain date there is no lawsuit.

I think LSU pays enough that a good coach might take a chance on switching jobs in January. I also think that if RR is fired after Jan 1 and Les is leaving LSU will know about it in enough time to begin making contact. It will probably be a done deal long before then.

yeah, but Skip hated Nick Saban and his ego. Skip wanted to hire someone that would listen to him and do what he said. Let's hope that our current AD is more concerned with hire the best coach possible and not let his ego get in the way.

As usual, you have your facts wrong.

Saban announced on 12/25 that he was leaving for the Dolphins. The Cap One Bowl was on 1/1.

36 games isn't enough to evaluate?

Just listen to the Herd if you want facts

Is UM even clear of the NCAA for the whole practice issue?

I think they are on probation a.k.a NCAA keeps close eye on them, but no scholarships taken away.

The AD is just waiting for the buyout to go down and looking around to see if there's any big names that would accept the Michigan job. If Harbaugh for example said he would coach at Michigan, RR is done.

Yes the NCAA sent out the following Memo today

"After further review, there is no evidence to suggest that Michigan practiced more than the rules allow. Better Luck next year Big Blue!"
