The next LSU HC is Billy Napier. Sorry if that bores or upsets you.

It won’t be announced until the end of the season so enjoy making threads and posting about the possibility of white whales and hiring Romeo Crennel until that time comes.

It’s a badly kept secret right now that Napier is Woodward’s guy and has been for a hot minute. No other candidate checks all the boxes that Napier does. The “big names” people mention don’t check the boxes he does and wouldn’t come to LSU without a ridiculous amount of money being thrown at them anyway. This isn’t to say that LSU wasn’t willing to pay top dollar - only that there’s no reason to (relatively) in Woodward’s mind.

All of y’all that don’t think LSU is going to hire the “USL” coach need to get with the times. This isn’t the era of going from G5 to a mid-tier P5 and then finally an elite school. Ryan Day, Lincoln Riley, and Kirby Smart changed that for good.

Be excited. Guy is 42 and has an extremely bright future in front of him. Will bring Saban-esque coaching and organization back to the program. Louisiana high school coaches and recruits’/prospects and their parents are thrilled about the possibility/inevitability of this hire. Transition will be seamless.

Oh, ok then. I do think it's a possibility, but don't act like you have some sort of inside information because you do not.

Is it really inside information if a bunch of people already know it?

It really makes a lot of sense. I’m fine with it.

That would be an acceptable and logical choice.

He won't be given the freedom to be able to do what he wants and how he wants and who he wants then he's not leaving.

Money isn't an issue for him. He has too much pride for that.

I don't know shite about him other than the games I've seen this year.

In a couple games I can see his teams are well positioned a well coached. It's refreshing to see them fluid on the field.

Why wouldn’t he be? LSU coaches have never been handcuffed.

Well Billy is in luck because that’s what Scott Woodward and LSU is offering.

Not true. Orgeron was contractually forced to keep coaches and was hired on the basis of getting Kiffin or allowing the AD to hire the best OC possible.
