Stop for a minute and consider, I think this board altered the reality of the world we lived in which changed the minds of those in play which led to this hire.

You didn’t have to hire Napier but to not even interview him was foolish. You created a problem that didn’t need to exist by giving a very smart man a reason to become emotionally invested in your defeat. It’s really is quite a juvenile oversight by SW

Aww were little Billy’s feelings hurt?

Sorry Chicken, please allow us to correct ourselves. There are plenty of out of state yokels here.

This is a business, and I would imagine Napier understands that

No doubt he does. Businesses are built on relationships. He wanted the LSU job badly and is probably pretty offended that he wasn't even considered for it.

BK is obviously the better hire at this juncture in time. But I fear you are willfully lacking the subtlety to understand my point.

You've insulted the ego of a very highly-functioning, competitive man who now has the resources to compete with your brand. It's just bad business skills, especially knowing now how that same unprofessional treatment levied against Spurrier drove him to sadistically bitchslap LSU for a decade

Same schools, same situation. We'll never learn our lesson

We’re more users than customers. Also, why did you delete my link with the Napier poll?

I seriously hope BK treats the media just as friendly as Nick $aban does.

That would be super

I definitely think Woodward played UF into thinking they had to act fast to get over on us by hiring Napier.

Payback is a bitch for all the nasty things UF has done to LSU in the past few years.

couple of things…first off boy this is stupid. Secondly, Spurrier bitch slapped most of the SEC because he was really good and it wasn’t the conference it is now. We especially really sucked through much of his run.

Napier isn’t an offensive mastermind and we’re currently the better program. frick Billy’s feelings.

Also do you think he would have preferred a token interview as we had our guy already locked up? That would have made him feel better ?

Tell me without telling me that you have never conducted a meaningful business transaction in your life. The cubicle monkeys always end up outing themselves. Pathetic

The power and money that these men play with necessitate maneuvering with a different decorum than that which you may be accustomed to at the Arby's fry station

I would hope now that a hire has been made that Napier understands why he wasn't contacted.

He wasn't qualified

Yes. I don't care about his feelings. But it is the professional thing to do

Amazing that there are so many mouth-breathing bacteria here that don't understand this

Have the details of Napier's deal come out? I'm really interested in just how much Saban-style control FL is handing over to a Sun Belt coach.

Oh FFS, Fla did not interview anyone BUT Napier- did they insult every coach in America?

Should we arse-kiss everyone possible because we want them to like us and not try hard to win when they play us?

That's ignorant.

I do not believe that he ever really thought that he could jump to LSU in one step.

But it seems like I am trying to explain the behavior and thought processes of a very highly-functioning and intelligent person to an audience who will just never be able understand that level of operating power
