I tend to agree with those that think hiring a first time head coach would be suboptimal. Brady's a brilliant offensive mind, don't get me wrong.

Dude fricking hates recuiting. I can't decide if the Brady or Saban threads are dumber.

Even with the cash, recruiting is still the biggest part of the job in CFB. If you’re not all-in on recruiting, you won’t be winning titles.
You simply can’t hire a coach in college football that isn’t all-in on recruiting.
Cash was always part of it, even before NIL.

No and he has said this repeatedly. All of this Joe Brady talk is ridiculous.

He said he wants nothing to do with recruiting when he left. So that's a big fat NO.

he seems like a high energy driven guy.
So I assume he can recruit because that’s 90% of it.
Does he want to?
If he comes back to college I assmume he must at least be ok doing that, but he has NFL options so we’ll know if that’s a deal breaker by whether it … breaks the deal.

Ridiculous or not, he’s the vegas favorite for the job.
Let’s hope LSU gets him too. We like unstoppable offense and heisman QBs here.

With Aranda as DC.

NO! He’s never been a Head Coach and he’s never been a Head Coach during NIL. NO THANKS!!

because they lacked what was needed to command a football team.

My opinion of Joe Brady is that he also lacks those qualities.
Which are what?
I’m assuming some intangibles you can’t measure. Doesn’t have “it”. Doesn’t tell good stories about Pearl Harbor at his press conferences. Doesn’t have enough “fire”! Things like that x

Nobody needs to make a case for him. He would do well: but he has no interest. So frick it

Portal players tend to be mercenary types
Chasing the money
Not saying all portal is bad.
Obviously that’s not the case
But avoiding recruiting high school in exchange for the portal is a bad move. Especially in a talent rich state like Louisiana
