His kids and Hunter wouldn't be able to follow him

Urban Meyer would be hilarious

Not surprising the stupid fricking Aggies hired him in the first place. No wonder there have been Aggie jokes for all these years.

Firing a coach mid-season after a 40 point win has to be a first. It's not like they are winning anything the rest of the year anyway. Only thing I can think of is there is some financial incentive to get rid of him now instead of in two weeks.

He only coached at A&M to win the lottery. A&M has the most insane boosters and administration in America. It is akin to coaching for Dan Snyder or Jerry Jones. You go there, get paid lots of money, let the crazy boosters (basically the owners) pick your team for you, then get fired so you can collect your winnings.
Now he will probably do his retirement gig at WVU and win the Big-12 championship several times over the next decade (look at who we play). Will have complete control of the team with only few big money men to deal with who to their credit are actually sane and living on earth.

Kliff Kingsbury
Please make this happen. 15 years and 200 mil should get it done.

I'm not convinced urban has "it" anymore. It would be a semi gamble

I'm hoping they bring Dennis Allen home

If aggies are serious about winning a natty they will hire Urban.
If they want to stay being mediocre, hire Elko

I'm the opposite, I think he's highly motivated after the disaster in Jacksonville

eh
i doubt A&M is hiring lanning from an oregon that hes established and is going to the B1G
but if both were open, id feel good about A&M hiring who they wanted over oregon
