If Kiffin leaves Ole Miss, I think he goes to Florida. I think Sexton is using LSU as leverage to get the best deal out of Florida. If Florida falls through, he’ll stay at Ole Miss. LSU is not really a contender and knows it, so I think they’re allowing the talk to go on while pursuing a real target.

From a strategic point of view, if we can't get him we can at least drive his price up to make UF or Ole Miss choke on a massive contract that leaves fewer resources available for NIL.

Bro you are on our message boards sending us FL stuff not the other way around. You all have been the ones saying it's done for weeks now and you literally just posted that MOU is not signed even if it's signed you do know that's not legally binding right? So in fact it isn't done same as it isn't done for LSU. Just chill and wait it out bro. Tend to your own FL message boards and we will stay over here. Just weird you running to an LSU forum to tell us what FL has been saying for weeks ??

The only two successful coaches in Florida history are two generational coaching talents who were winners everywhere they went. LSU can win 7-8 games a year with a coach who can barely speak in complete sentences or a coach who doesn't know the names of half the players on his roster. Plus most of our very talented in state players grow up wanting to go to LSU and will go to LSU if you simply put in minimal effort to recruit them. It is far easier to win at LSU than Florida. I don't think most coaches would debate that. If he goes to Florida, it would be for personal preferences. 1) Ole Miss fans wouldn't care as much bc they're not rivals to UF and I think he cares about his legacy there and 2) Lane has more family and personal connections to the state of Florida and may just rather live in that state.
