Bo Davis was making a lot of demands to LSU and one of them was supposedly making room for his son that plays for Southeastern. My question is why Texas didn’t make a spot for his son if he wants him so bad?

Because he would have more leverage in a negotiation for a new position. If that went anywhere, THEN he might be able to get Sark to throw him a bone.

All hypothetical though. Who knows if this is true.

I’m getting tired of the talking heads surrounding lsu crying poverty about the program.

He have ~number 5 recruiting class in the country. We literally have the number 1 overall recruit/qb, number 1 RB and number 1 WR committed for next year.

We’re not having any problems whatsoever getting talent.

Would he have been cool with a preferred walk on spot or was he demanding a scholarship spot? The scholarship spots are a lot more valuable now.

I don’t think it’s so much what recruits we have as if a regular joe donates money then the money gets distributed evenly among all the sports. When said person might just want to throw money to get a football player…

At least this is the main problem I can see with it. It’s good for the other sports though that’s for sure not really football

hence why it’s dumb for someone discussing the football program to keep crying poverty about the collective.

May not be PC but I doubt many care to see their dollars go “evenly” to all the programs.

Hell I bet the athletic department in general doesn’t want the money going evenly because they want football to continue to pay the bills.

Until we struggle in recruiting and/or have trouble buying out failing coaches (neither of which is going on obviously) the talking heads need to shut up.

Not sure if common knowledge or not but I was told the OM collective has partnered with a group of businesses that will now start prompting customers on the CC keypad to donate to the OM collective after their transaction similar to how some do it now for local charities and such. They're definitely in the forefront right now.

Folks see Ole Miss and others making waves in the portal while CBK chooses to build through the HS ranks and save NIL $$$ for retention.

Retaining players is just as if not more important but not as flashy as signing the latest 5* who's hit the portal

I have a hard time believing they wouldn’t allow any coach’s kid a spot as a walk-on. These guys make enough to pay for tuition.

I thought that I remembered reading about this some time ago that school staff members children get extremely discounted or zero tuition. I couldn't find it anywhere and don't know if it's BS.

Bayou Traditions (the LSU collective) website allows the donor to chose if they want their contribution to go to a specific sport's NIL program at LSU.
