Florida has a fertile recruiting base.

That's equally shitty as Tulane is in a position to win the American and if so would probably be the 12 seed in the playoff.

Lane has been the Villain for years and LSU has not been liked by the media either so this is a perfect storm to push a negative narrative and make us the villains of College Football.

“Not the same thing” will be everyone’s motto about Sumrall for the next few months.

Kiffin is going to take whatever Ole Miss players want to come anyway. Being around them is irrelevant. They still have phones.

Florida is G5 level
I don’t think a upper level sec team would actually want Tulane recruits, that doesn’t seem like a recipe to beat LK at LSU or bama
You really don't think there are half a dozen of their recruits that could help Florida.
FLorida only has 19.

Willie Fritz’s assistants that followed him to Houston did the same thing two years ago. IIRC Sumrall had them all banned from the building.

Where is the media outrage?

If Sumrall is focusing on getting Tulane recruits to Florida, something tells me he won't be at that job very long.

No, you see, the principles only apply once you reach a certain threshold of public/media interest.
Posted on 12/1/25 at 9:24 am to OleVaught14
That’s what they all do. Get over it.
Posted on 12/1/25 at 9:28 am to TattedTiger
Napier did the same thing.

Difference is Lane doesn’t have ti hang around OM, the recruits are coming anyway

But we've been screaming and crying and begging for mercy because of what Lane might have done, when you have coaches literally doing that and there's not a peep.
It's Tulane. How many players are they going to take? And most of the debate has not been about Kiffin doing it but about Ole Miss allowing it. It's much less of a concern with Tulane but I'd still tell him no.

Boosters are withdrawing support by the hundreds
Fans are rallying to get him fired before it was even announced
Might not even coach a single game at Florida

So if Ole Miss was right to force Lane out because he might have done what people like Sumrall are actually doing...people are just mad at Lane for agreeing to another job for next year?
Was he expected to stay at Ole Miss forever, or just wait until after the CFP and choose whatever job is left?
