Yeah, I don’t know. There’s a lot of smoke around this one.

Fritz has been trying to leave Tulane for the last 3 years, so of course there’s smoke. My guess is Troy Dannen (Tulane AD) will get off his worthless arse and fork over some money to entice Fritz to stay

Unless there’s a big donor who really wants this to happen I can’t see GT in a bidding war. Our athletics department is in a pretty deep hole from buying out crappy hires, so if your AD wants to keep him he probably can.

I won’t name drop my source but dude literally lives off sports gambling and has no life outside of Tulane athletics. Kind of sad honestly

Wrong sounds like this guy rules.

The Tulane boards and fan groups on Facebook are worse than women. They are all going off the original AJC tweet which was redacted

That’s the thing. They didn’t reach a deal. He applied for the job but they are still interviewing other coaches

Obviously this.

Fritz isn't the kind of hire that gets the job up front without other candidates interviewing. He's a, after interviewing several candidates, we were impressed most with Fritz.

Will Hall will probably be on the list.

Looks like the ajc reporter got Kiffined. But if Fritz leaves for any other job Tulane will have a healthy list of applicants. Three names with a Tulane connection who would be good options are Sumrall, Hall, and Svoboda. After all is said and done though I don’t see Fritz leaving for ga tech because I think Tulane can and will match what tech offers if it comes to that. Be more worried if it was Arkansas or Auburn.

Talked to my Tulane source too. They told me that Georgia Tech offered 30. million for 5 years. No way Tulane can match that. He is gone.

If I'm Fritz, the thought of starting over again at yet another program at his age would seem exhausting.

He’s only a couple years older than Brian Kelly is now and only like 3 years older than Saban was when Alabama hired him.

He looks to be in great health.

If true, that is a lot of money for an old coach with a losing record. GT better hope it works out because the fanbase will riot

If Batts offered that much he's insane.

Tulane is going back to the cellar. Fritz is a good coach.

Those dudes are fighting for national championships, not AAC titles. Eventually you'd think the rate of return on coaching mid-major type schools wouldn't be worth the having to uproot your life.

He’s making $2 million now and would likely double that at Georgia Tech, which isn’t a mid-major.

For coaching football.

I don’t know anything about this fritz coach. I’m sure he could be a good coach but BK has already set the tone and foundation in place. He has already changed the culture of the program. Tech would be fools to not offer him a short term / on the cheap contract where he would need to prove himself in upcoming season to get a long extension

I starting to wonder if Fritz is just going to use this leak as a way to make an extra million per year out of Tulane.

He did this same shite last time.
