All of the assistant coaches have officially been relieved of their duties. Their names are now scrubbed from the team website.

Oh really?? Do you want me to remind you of what you posted on November 11 to the group?

Let me refresh your senile memory:

Let me do a little more refreshing of your memory with some more you posted to that same thread on November 11:

The comments that followed in that string got it deleted. Didn't have time to weed them out separately so deleted the whole.

Sounds like a nazi dictator to me... Go ahead and delete that whole post now so it will disappear...I’ve got screenshots and can post them.... You and your mindset are such a huge problem at McNeese. No one wants to join your precious little clubs bc of this shite.

Heil Doc!

Geaux Gilbert! Geaux Pokes!

Doing backflips knowing Norton is gone. He is a horrible coach, sucked at NSU and screwed the pooch at McNeese. MAybe he can sell insurance if he grows a personality.

Sterlin Gilbert answers questions from the media.

I like his answers. There’s a lot of coachspeak in there but, I like his attitude towards recruiting. They talked a lot about Texas, but I do hope they reach out to kids outside the Texas and Louisiana region. There’s kids everywhere in he country. Reach out to them. See what they’re about and go from there.

So what do you guys think about Gilbert retaining Hoefer as a position coach? Bolfing (TE) and Osbourne (DE) to remain on staff as well.

Not totally surprising since I am told that they are good friends and they were seen at the Golden Nugget eating together after Gilbert's announcement press conference. Gilbert says he will call his own plays.

As far as Bolfing and Osbourne, I was told they are just Graduate Assistant Coaches so it doesn't mean or cost much. I am glad for Tyler Bolfing because his wife, Lakeyn, works in Event Management and Facilities and they won't have to be split up again like they were when he was at ULM.

I am more interested in how he is going to fill in the rest of the staff, especially on the defensive side and on the offensive line. The offensive line was the weak link on the team the whole year.

Matt Mattox, OL coach at USF, has been hired as OC and OL coach @ McNeese.

Lots of smoke that Navarro JC head coach Jim Gush will be named DC

Good hire for McNeese.

Surprised me.

I just knew they were going the good-ole-boy route and promoting Kerry Joseph.

Jim Gush, head coach (former) at Navarro JC officially named DC today at McNeese.

quote:

Jim Gush is a 35-year coaching veteran in his sixth season at Baylor. His responsibilities include coaching the linebackers as well as serving as the defensive recruiting coordinator. Three from Baylor’s linebacking corps, the team’s top three tacklers, earned 2015 All-Big 12 honors, as Grant Campbell (97 tackles, five TFL), Taylor Young (80, 13.5) and nickelback Travon Blanchard (84, 7.5) earned honorable mention recognition from the league’s coaches.
