I streamed college game day and some of the Ohio State/Texas game this weekend on a 4 hour domestic united flight. Paid $8 for their WiFi and used my directTV stream. Worked like a charm.

re: Did you have a Swatch Watch?

I had this one. I remember getting it for Christmas and not liking it. My mom got it for me and she was so proud that she picked it out for me. Didn’t have much money but she always got me things I wanted. I couldn’t bring myself to tell her I didn’t like it.

I wore the shite out of it and changed the swatch guard out all the time.

Anyone else put 2 swatch guards on and twist them together?

I was coming here to post this. Ha.

I was so drunk I just stayed in my seat through most of the rain with my hand over my cup of crown and coke. Was glorious.
Finally got power back this afternoon in oak forest.

Whoa, where did you find this? My area shows green, but I definitely don’t have power back yet.
All good here too on generator. Glad you got it up and running!

Will reach out at some point to inquire about the whole home generator procurement that you did.
What’s up Bill!

Do you have power? Lost it about 9 am yesterday over by candlelight park. Houses across the street never lost it. I’m up and running on generator though.
Did you get your generator all installed before all this?

Do you live in the neighborhood?

Wasn’t sure how long we were going to be in this house so went cheaper. With interest rates now we are staying put for a while. Pool will go in in a few years so will probably do a Kholer whole home then.

WE HAVE POWER!!!!!
They were working in my street all day.
6 days…144 hours of running my generator. She held up great.

We were lucky and had internet. I’m on att fiber and when I plugged the generator into the house, WiFi was working. Never went out.

I'm waiting on my generator install quote so this doesn't happen again

Going whole home permanent set up like a generac? I went the cheaper way and got a big portable generator, converted to natural gas. Ran a line from my gas meter to the generator, and put an interlock and 50 amp plug into my panel. Ran the whole house including ac’s, and some neighbors fridges too. This way is about 8000-10000 cheaper.
Let me know if you want to see what I did or need any help with it if you go this route. After the 2021 freeze I went down a rabbit hole researching.

I’m in section 9, between OFE and Candlelight park. Haven’t seen any lineman working backyards yet.

My area is still not colored on the maps they put out. Someone called and was told it’s bc they don’t have an eta.

All you Lucky SOB’s in oak forest. I’m still down and jealous. Ha
Talked to the guys in a ce terpoint truck doing some work on oak forest blvd. told him my street and he said MAYBE tomorrow…greatly emphasized maybe. They need to cut some trees, fix snapped poles, and repair down lines behind the houses still.

Kicker is my house had the line pulled off my house. He said “yeah, we are going to be doing those last”

frick. Generator still running good though at least.

Good luck!

They turned on power to the lines on my street 2 days ago. 1 fire and another line making some noise that was down in my neighbors pool. We have a lot of broken poles and trees on lines still.

Lots of electrical trucks in Oak Forest right now.

I didn’t see a single fricking truck in my section today. I’m up near candlelight park.

Checked the new map that Centerpoint came out with and my area isn’t even colored. No one has power so not taking that as a good sign.

My generator setup has been kicking arse though.

You try cayenne or chili powder?
Lock him in and let him sleep on the floor. He’s sleeping, so be happy and get you some sleep. He will move back to his bed eventually.

Also, we used this and it worked like a charm.
