Jesus, it’s like it’s hard for anyone to actually do research. He beat #19 team while at freaking temple as well. Had them ranked on top of it. It is bizarre what some of the requirements are for a coach. Rhule is a phenomenal coach.

I actually agree. I’d be pleased with Rhule, but don’t really care either way about Brady.

If he brings Brady, great…if he doesn’t bring Brady, great.

Rhule is the “catch”…not Brady

Napier beat more big 12 ranked teams than Rhule and this board says Napier sucks.

That is interesting. Seems like Rhule is adaptable and inserts himself where he sees a void.

Did you mean Jerry Sandusky?

Not for me. Its the fact that he took two program from the ashes and built them into big winners immediately.

He did not bring Temple from the ashes. Al Golden had them playing quite well before he left. Baylor had a 1-2 year readjustment thanks to Art Briles and the white women thing.

Look out. This guy is a force.

Meanwhile Campbell beat #6 Oklahoma last year.

Might have beat him twice.

Is it interesting that he never beat Lincoln or any other ranked opponent. Ever.

And yet y’all think he is amazing!

FWIW, I think it’s splitting hairs arguing between Rhule and Campbell

imo Both would be very good hires for LSU.

Obviously different candidates with different strengths/resumes, but both good coaches nonetheless. I’d be pleased with either.

They are both “Tier1” candidates or should be. So then it just becomes a beauty contest picking the prettiest of two very pretty candidates

Then why the frick do they lose 5 games every year? If Campbell’s knocking off all these ranked teams every year, who the frick does he keep losing to?

A 3 point loss and an OT loss to a Top 5/6 OU in his last season is supposed to be the red line on whether he's a good coach or not? Like seriously, two games that were decided by maybe 2/3 plays would change the Rhule haters to lovers?

Of course not, but you do not hire based on wins and losses without context. The guy was at a lot of talentless schools and won. He lost when he stepped up to the big time, sure, with a talent disadvantage.

Now take that same guy and put him with equivalent talent, likely he will do very well.

So have Matt Campbell.. and he has done it better for longer.. and he is younger.

That’s my only argument.

Now all he has to do is... talk to his old self to figure out how they get pass the 50 yard line in Carolina.

You guys really don't understand how bad the Panthers are.

Matt Rhule is a baw but an intellectual football baw. I enjoy listening to him. He's got experience on both sides of the ball, football iq through roof, has business connections that run through both college and nfl. I would trust Rhule over Campbell imo.

Rhule isn’t on the hot seat yet. It’s Brady, who I’m guessing LSU feels would be a very popular hire. Not me, but it’s more likely to be him than Rhule

Just admit you are biased and accept that. It’s fair. The guy from your area coaching your team is tantalizing to you.

It don’t mean shite to us though lol

Both inherited programs with massive talent deficits. Rhule was worse, but make no mistake the cupboard was awfully bare when O got to OM also.
