Something just doesn't add up

The issue is not Kiffin. I'm not heartbroken he's not coming. I'm not sure I wanted him.
But we were supposedly willing to pay him around 2 million? I can understand wanting to be a head coach, but to make less than one THIRD of what you could have made as LSU OC?
Something is rotten either from the LSU side or from the gump side. I would not be surprised if LK is getting some under-the-table checks from Tuscaloosa to supplement his income in return for him staying away from LSU.
Meanwhile, seems like the O and Joe show is getting played right and left.

Take a pay cut now so he can get a big time HC gig in a couple of years if he does really well at FAU (with no expectations).

maybe LK learned in some of the interviews that he needs to do more as a head coach.

I have been around for many, many coaching searches, mostly assistants of course. each search is different but the ONLY thing unusual about our OC search is the people on this board. people make shite up and then get upset and melt when it doesn't happen. i'm beginning to think that LSU has some sick fans.

1) get OC job to re enter coaching.
2)get HC job at largest school possible.
3) win.
4) get job and money as HC major school.
LSU was 1A) get out from under Sabin for 1 or 2 years and go to step 2.
