Aranda and Fisher are both off the table. I think Stoops is the best we can get now. At this point it doesn't matter if Woodward was chasing Riley or not. We have had six weeks to hire someone and the reality is UF and USC both pulled in prime coaches, one of which was never believed to be on the market in the first place, while we are scrambling to find SOMEONE willing to take the job.

There was NEVER a SINGLE IOTA of credible reporting that connected LSU and Lincoln Riley. That narrative was 100% purely a product of this board.


There is nothing whatsoever that suggests that a single person in the know—from reporters athletic dept brass to agents—ever thought LSU was strongly pursuing lincoln Riley.

This is the only rational thought you can have. We've gotten nothing from SW's office. NOTHING.

The rumors of Riley being committed didn't come from there. If you think the USC contract and negotiations happened in a day, then you are deluding yourself. That has been in the works for at least a couple weeks. We heard nothing about that until it was done.

Everything that we are hearing is coming from agents that are trying to create demand for their product. It doesn't mean shite. So try to be calm. You can lose it once a hire is made and it isn't up to your high standards, but until then just try to hold it together. Everyone is freaking out over every stupid rumor that comes through, and it is just silly.
