From a pretty reliable fsu board per my Nole friends
Update 11/23 @ 1:15 p.m. ET - Been working the phones this morning and here's the latest.
Things are still moving forward with president John Thrasher/FSU working with Jimbo Fisher's agent Jimmy Sexton on a new agreement. As we've mentioned, it's primarily focused on giving Fisher more control over the football program and more of a budget to hire and give raises to support staff. There's also talk about an academic support center but not sure if that's part of the agreement or just something that will be worked out separately.
Was told this morning that FSU hopes to be able to get this done by Saturday's game so this doesn't drag on until next week. Whether that timeline is realistic or not is uncertain. Heard there have been a couple snags in the process that might be slowing things down.

Works for me either way honestly. I'd love having Jimbo back here, but if he stays at Florida State I think we're in a good position to snag Tom Herman which is a win in its own right.

LSU is throwing their best offer out there but i just don't see anything neutral that is pointing to Jimbo actually jumping ship from FSU.

A lot of the fans are saying they don't want him to get a raise. Some are saying give him a little, but not nearly what we'll pay.
