Have you watched TCU? They're both bad teams. A missed Kansas FG kept TCU from suffering the same fate Texas did last week.

At some point Alleva has to say this is our best deal. If Jimbo actually wants to be at LSU then he'll take it. Would this 7M make him the highest paid coach in college football?

Exactly. But it seems their mods /insiders are just as confident as ours that he will be their coach next year.

If Jimbo is still pushing for all that stuff from FSU, he doesn't want to go to LSU bad enough.

Of course they are. Both set of mods are getting just one side of the story. The only people who know both sides are Jimbo, Sexton and most probably Jimbo's closest inner circle.

So you expect him to just accept LSUs offer and not see what FSU will offer to keep him?

Yes. The game will come down to the last possession more than likely or OT. Unless UT folds after all the drama which is why I think they lose.

No. Harbaugh's total compensation in $9 million and change. It would be a little more than Saban, and make him second highest, though.

And not only that. Sexton will go back to LSU and see what they'll do.

Wherever Jimbo ends up, Sexton will make sure he has the best offer out of them.

Saban is about to win the SEC and make the playoffs for the 3rd straight year, on top of possibly winning his 5th national title in 8 years.

He's going to be making $10 mil per year very, very soon.

Agreed. What LSU just sent out was a counter to a counter offer. Sexton gets a counter to our counter offer from FSU in he form of a proposed contract extension and sends it our way for a final response and bid...until the next final bid. Rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat until someone caves in. It is a battle of wits and will power going up against a Son of Satan.

Sounds like Fisher is using this situation to leverage more control, better pay for his assistants. I hope Alleva has offered Herman already. I just don't want to see us miss out on both candidates.
