Why though?

He wasn’t a good OC when he had the chance in 2016 and was immediately demoted to WR coach for 2017.

Aranda took him to Baylor as PGC coordinator and immediately cut him loose after one season.

Why would you want him as anything more than an analyst or maybe position coach at most?

Joe Burrow made him look like a genius.

People think any coach who sat in the same room with Brady once can duplicate what he did.

I’m not saying he was useless. He cut up all of the opposing defenses blitz packages and planned protections.

That’s super valuable but it’s not the same as being the OC

I would take him back as an analyst without question. I could potentially be ok with him as a position coach if there’s an opening but no way in hell do I want him calling plays

Most people want him back as an analyst. Anyone wanting more is an idiot.

I’m for him as PGC with Calloway. He’s more knowledgeable of what Brady did on a technical level than anyone currently on our staff. He seemed to be good at breaking down opposing D’s film and teaching the reads to Burrow each week. And before Brady we never had a PGC, so what is there really to lose??? If Calloway is the OC what’s it hurt to have Munoz there to assist on a technical level? If Calloways not your guy then why do you want him to be PGC? I’m all for a system where you put it on the OC and if he wants a PGC to assist him let it happen!

This is false. LSU had a PGC back to Miles years.

I’ve seen several posts begging for Calloway and Munoz as OC and PGC.

First of all a PGC is the last thing Calloway needs second of all Munoz has shown he isn’t a good PGC

Aranda hired him as Baylor’s PGC, thinking like a lot of people here that he’d be the next Joe Brady and quickly found out he wasn’t. Pass.

Bruh Brady’s system isn’t anything special. It worked at the rate it did because he has an incredible mind for putting stress on defenders and because he had incredible playmakers to work with.

Without Brady and Burrow and 4 first round playmakers his system isn’t much different than everyone else running an RPO spread offense today.

Munoz isn’t Brady and Brady isn’t coming back stop holding onto that fantasy.

Munoz watched a lot of film with Burrow and was instrumental in prepping Joe for how it attack blitzes and coverages. He obviously did a great job, but I am not sure if it translates to being a successful PGC or OC.

Munoz was a HUGE part of our success in 2019. Im not discounting that.

But he’s already been a player caller twice in his career and both times he got fired after one season. We really think he’s going to magically be great at LSU?

I’m not for Munoz, but there is no way to know the dynamic between Fedora and Munoz. Aranda probably made a mistake thrusting Munoz on Fedora, when they don’t have a history and come from different offenses.

Munoz could’ve done a fine job and Aranda may just want to start fresh.

We don’t always know what goes on behind the scenes.

Amazing how many people dont read or listen to Burrow’s comments and understand this. Munoz helped Joe pre snap reads and pass protection adjustments which JB excelled at

I don’t have to know what goes on behind the scenes to read the writing on the wall.

OC at ULL demoted to WRs coach after one year.

Analyst at LSU for two years and invited to heisman ceremony.

Not promoted to PGC after Joe Brady left.

Follows Aranda to Baylor as PGC fired after one year.

There is undoubtedly stuff going on behind the scenes and it ain’t looking good for Jorge.

10,000 reps on the jugs didn't hurt either. Did y'all see all the dropped passes this year? They need to bring that shite back.

I can see a necessity for a PGC coordinator if you have “run centric” OC. But if your OC is comprehensive and doesn’t need assistance like E did, then it’s a glorified QB coach position. FWIW, we probably would’ve been better with E calling all of the plays this year vs giving 3rd down and RZ to Linehan. If we make Calloway the OC and you believe he is the guy, a comprehensive OC that is, why not get a guy like Munoz to do what he did for Brady and Burrow, that’s all I’m saying.
