Over the past decade, LSU has had five offensive coordinators, four in a full-time capacity and Ensminger in an interim basis for eight games in 2016. And for all the complaints about the predictability of LSU’s offense over the stretch, the unit was never necessarily bad. For more than a decade, the Tigers have averaged more than 30 points per game.

But if you look at the most basic statistics, you’ll actually find that LSU’s offense was at its most successful when Ensminger was calling the plays. Not Gary Crowton. Not Greg Studrawa. Not Cam Cameron or Matt Canada. Steve Ensminger.

And the only two defenses we played with a pulse with Ensminger as the OC (Florida and Alabama) completely shut his offense down

"Steve Ensminger in 2016, calling plays from the system that Cam Cameron spent 3 full years developing, wasn't complete shite."

Fixed it for them. I like Ensminger, but this shite is pissing me off. The notion that Ensminger is a good OC because he called plays using someone else's playsheet is asinine.

Good, because he’s gonna have to be for his buddy O to keep his job. 10-2 minimum next year.

Don't have to go back any further than 2015 to see that LSU averaged more ppg that year than Ensminger's offense did in 2016. Don't take the click bait.

The notion crowton or stud or cam or Canada were calling all their own stuff is laughable when we know miles took over running what he wanted in 2010 and we know o meddled. What a joke article. Ponamsky is working hard behind the scenes people.

I support the Ensminger hire. The bottom line is we do not have quarterback talent near the level displayed last night. We are no where close right now.

I support the hire because he had success against conference foes and didnt have qb talent to compete with elite foes. That result will happen to any coordinator that has ever lived.
