Watch him go get Tee Martin and Tosh Lupoi as his coordinators. That would make a formidable staff

I just don't get it. Their boosters must have been really desperate to get Herman out. There's no way Sark was their second or even third option

USC fired the head coaches at Ole Miss, LSU, and Texas for Clay Helton. What a time to be alive.

If he hires Tee as OC he’s going to be looking for another job in three years.

This seems weird to me. Sarkisian didn't exactly dominate in his two previous jobs. And it's not like Herman was terrible such that mediocre is an upgrade.

If I'm Tennessee I'd make a call to Herman in a heartbeat. Anything is better than what they have currently.

Agreed. Pruitt was a terrible hire on day one. I’m not saying there is a sure fire national championship coach just sitting out there. But there are SEVERAL better than the bozo they have. They could fall arse backwards into a good coach. Unfortunately, Phil Fulmer is their AD

I'm really surprised this happened so quickly. I guess UT couldn't find a Homo, a BLM/SJW, or an Illegal qualfied to be HC.

I guess I don't really understand why this is a bad hire. He's not only a former HC he's as of now the hottest offensive mind in football. If Clemson and some church can pour enough money into Dabo fukin Swinney to win a National Championship while looking at the playsheet upside down then I imagine Texas feels like they can afford some wins

Orgeron was the Interim that wanted the job. Technically he was fired.

He showed flashes at Washington, but his life fell apart. Saban's a dick, but Sark needed boot camp to rehab himself; and it seems like he has.

I'm curious about Saban's reaction to this, haven't seen it yet. If he's supportive, watch out in the Big 12.

That's been asked a lot today on UT boards and the overwhelming answer from "sauces" is that he will call the plays.

He wasn't the first choice obviously. I'm not sure if he was the second (I think Brian Kelly might have gotten a call). I could see him being the 3rd however. And while Kelly's overall resume is better, Sark may be a better fit offensively and otherwise.
