The last sentence of that article:

quote:

Next season, Sarkisian will get another chance to prove himself and put Del Conte’s plan to the test.

He's not getting fired this year. Dodd is trying to get clicks. Texas would owe him $20-30mm (I can't remember the exact amount) as a buyout.

If they fire Sark no one will go coach there. They're not firing him

If they fire their HC after one season, they can kiss getting any top flight coaches there ever again goodbye.

If Texas fires Sark after his first year then they've got way bigger issues than just about any program in the country...

That's one of the dumbest articles I've ever read.

quote:

CBS Sports' Dennis Dodd believes that “whether Sark is canned Sunday or Monday, next week or next season, a result like this makes his future appear inevitable now.”

So he believes Sark will eventually be fired. I have no source, no timeframe, but at sometime in the future, I think he may be fired. Way to go out on a limb.

You would think, but he was given the vote of confidence by the board of regents yesterday. He gone.

Ha, true.

They should fire him but I say that as an OU fan.

He's not going to fix their problems. They need a program builder. A Matt Rhule type.

Their AD just came out with a statement this week supporting him.

No f'ing way. If the Horns suck again next year maybe. The Sips don't care anymore, they're going to be Vandy sooner or later, and that's just fine with them. Just show them the SEC money.

Hacky Clickbait article.

That said, UT has a culture problem. It needs some tough love from a hard nosed coach.

Stupid

Don’t care who or where but every coach deserves more than one year

Not sure who will be fired first... the HC or the AD.
