If this is true it lowers my opinion of Saban a bit.
And if Lane finds out that his "mentor" is being paid seven figures to steer him in a certain direction (which he totally would find out) that seems like a net negative for our lads in P&G.

are you suggesting that LSU is paying Saban a $1million fee to help with the new head coach search?
I thought I had heard and seen it all at LSU, but this is way beyond anything I could ever conceive. They must have money trees somewhere on campus.
Just more insanity coming from my alma mater.

Doesn't mean he can't say good things about us to candidates in his individual capacity, but there is no chance of a formal arrangement that would entail fees
