Dude Riley was scared of the SEC, whether it be with Oklahoma or LSU. Scared to death. Now has an easier path to playoffs.

This is unreal.

I clearly got told the wrong school.

OU knew about this last weekend though. So they already have been prepping for candidates and is why Bob is coming back off duties from FOX.

If so, it tells you all you need to know about him as a coach. He didn’t want any part of going against the SEC.

It's really ironic - for weeks, everyone various people in the media said LSU would be guaranteed a big hire with Woodward, who is a "gangster", while USC would be more likely to end up with a less impressive hire and get embarrassed in the process.

Turns out it was the exact opposite.

Have you ever been to Los Angeles? You would seriously choose living in Baton Rouge over LA if family isnt involved?

Yes. I don't really have experience with the super rich parts where USC's coach would live because I'm not that rich, but it's a concrete jungle with horrific traffic. You guys complain about Baton Rouge traffic all the time, and it's not even a tenth as bad as LA traffic while driving being every bit as necessary. The actual USC job is also pretty shite. Their conference has a terrible TV deal, is bad in general, their facilities are bad, and the fan base doesn't give a frick unless you're a dynasty. They would have more than two good coaches historically if the job was what people make it out to be.

USC ought to be more enticing to recruits as well. With NIL I would think athletes could make more money at USC. Thats a recruiting edge that is going to hinder everything about small markets attractiveness. For coaches and recruits.
