The only thing about Lane that gives me slight pause is the Joey Freshwater lifestyle is still a bit of a thing from the stories I hear.

I work with a few much younger people in a hospital here who he has partied with recently in Palm Beach County, and I guess he still has connections to some party girl types from his FAU days or new ones(don’t really know the details).

I believe the guy is divorced so good on him, but if you’re paying him big game money I’m not sure if he’s immune to scandal.

Take it for what you will and I’m sure LSU probably privy to similar stories.

He’s a young guy with a ton of energy, but it’s the type of energy that seems fun when you’re winning but gets old when you’re not. He rode Cam Skattaboo to a playoff appearance in a down year in the Big12. He will probably lose 1-2 more games this year, bringing him to a sub .500 in conference record as a head coach. He gives off serious Bryan Harsin vibes.

I can see why the name is floating around LSU circles

Been in the SEC, young, doesn’t break the bank.

Coached up Bo Nix, Jordan Travis,

Had Arizona State in the playoffs.

I don’t mind a Dillingham interview or him being in consideration, but to have him as the second option behind Kiffin is malpractice. There are a bunch of young coaches that should at least get a look. IMO, Dillingham is a flash in the pan (see Tom Herman).

Dillingham Is a fantastic coach. He’d kill it at LSU

What makes him a fantastic coach? He beat two ranked teams last year (BYU and Iowa State) and lost to two unranked teams (Cincinnati and Texas Tech).

This year, he's only played 3 ranked teams and lost to 2 of them (Utah and Houston).

Not enough of a proven track record. He's 19-15 as a HC. Small sample size and mediocre numbers. I'm all for poaching from a lower or mid tier P4 school, but it needs to be an over achiever or with just a little more experience. Nick Saban was 34-24-1 at Michigan State. Les Miles was 28-21 at Oklahoma State.

Dillingham sounds, like a decoy. I dont see that dude ever leaving ASU. It's his "dream job" for real. Not some fake Coach O shite.

As a kid, my dream job was to work at McDonald's. Once I achieved that goal, I set higher goals multiple times, each based on attainable destinations that would enable me to be paid more.

Kenny is at his current dream job. Not his next dream job.

Dude can have orgies everyday as far as I'm concerned. As long as he wins.
