I personally haven’t heard much in regards to Berry. No news is good news kind of deal I would say.

I fully expect Frank to come after Berry, but Berry is from Louisiana and I know LSU has the NIL advantage over Ole Miss as well. My gut says Berry stays

You could see something when LSU announces more players for the Nike Blue Ribbon deal. Pickett and Green are already on there, which basically is ensuring they are locked down.
Obviously Lacy to LSU likely.

Here are some others things going around I thought I would share.

Hearing LSU and Lane are very very confident on Trinidad waiver situation. Diego Pavia situation helped lot with this. With this, I expect Chambliss to be LSUs starting QB next season. However, Austin Simmons and camp still monitoring situation. Wants to come to LSU but if Chambliss waiver granted likely ends up at Miami or Florida.

Ole Miss WRs Duce Alexander and Winston Watkins are likely to LSU. Apparently Alexander and the weeks bros have some connections I’m told.

Dylan Stewart was always transferring no matter what. Lucas gives us an edge, but this one all about NIL at the end of the day. We will have to fight Ohio State and Texas. Never know.

Also something I want to note, hearing Caden Durham is considering entering the portal. He loved Frank, and always was a home town guy being from Oklahoma. Eric Morris of Oklahoma St trying to make a splash of Durham and Mestmaker through the portal. Oklahoma will probably try to as well. Hope Lane and company can find a way to keep him.

Looks like the time has come. LSU gets there guy.

For anyone that cared I’m glad I was able to share some info and it was pretty entertaining reading through this site.

Had been a lurker here and a buddy of mine said they would go crazy for info you could possibly share. So here we are.

I’ll probably share a post later this evening or early morning about the process of LSU hiring Lane and some of the other things discussed. Similar to this post when Kelly was let go.

Geaux Tigers!
I’m saying announcement in regards to LSU saying we have hired Lane or Ole Miss saying he’s leaving. Like I said you might get leaks.

Lane said he would make his decision, but not that it would be announced by him to the whole world

Hold the line.

In regards to the Lane announcement

Posted by The_Whispers on 11/29/25 at 12:46 pm
In my last post probably around a week and a half ago I mentioned we scored when we were in the red zone.

Lane begged Verge and company to let him finish. Ole Miss also didn’t have the guts to push Kiffin out. Can’t blame them actually. And there was some contract issues with this as well.

However where we stand right now is that Layla will be in BR some point today. That is a fact.

From what I can understand Lane will be meeting AD to talk over scenarios and tell him in person he will take LSU job. However I have heard lane will be in Oxford until after the iron bowl supposedly now, just in case there was a scenario he would have to prep for an SEC title game. This if happened would cause a very weird scenario where LSU announces Lane on Monday, but he coaches Ole Miss in the title game and Ole Miss hires a new coach. Yes, that is a scenario. So, you will not hear anything ground breaking. Maybe some leaks like with football scoop already but not like a Chris Low or Thamel bomb until at least after the iron bowl.

Bottom line, let’s cheer for Alabama tonight and keep waiting like we have.

I’d circle Monday for major announcements

Many now understand that we will 100 percent be getting a transfer QB.

Here are some names to keep on your radar:

Devon Dampier (Utah)
Turn on the film and this guy stands out. Great throwing mechanics, can run with the best of them. 120 yards, 78 yards, and 65 yards rushing on the 3 ranked teams they have faced. 10th in QBR, worked on his downfield passing and it shows. 17 TD, 5 ints. 543 rush yards 5 TDs.

Sam Leavitt (AZ State)
Have heard personally LSU with Lane are gonna try to make his next Jaxson Dart. Tougher year due to injury but still very effective. 10 TDs, 3 ints in only limited games played. Fits the system.

Keelon Russell (Alabama)
Good relationship with Lane and company. Elite upside and some rumors of him looking to stay in the SEC if departing from Alabama.

I’ll keep this updated

I’ve been mentioning we have been in the red zone. We have scored a TD and even gone for 2 and got it.

Very surprised we were able to pull this off with everything surrounding this. If they announce today I would be shocked but it’s definitely gonna start breaking here soon I would think.

Keep an eye on Sam Leavitt. Could be Kiffins Jaxson Dart 2.0. NIL package we promised for Kiffin is elite.

Good afternoon been a wild past 16 hours or so. Quite a bit of info and speculations going on. I mentioned on my last post here on 11/16/25 that there were heavy discussions and things got more serious in regards to Lane becoming the LSU coach.

Here’s my update as of now:
Right now at this second, there is Nothing signed. This is not a done deal. People telling you otherwise are simply pushing the button too quick. In that post I said we are in the red zone. We still remain in that situation. The longer this plays out the better for LSU. Ole Miss knows this and that is why they keep pushing this ultimatum. This put a little curveball in this process possibly speeding it up. Hold the line and don’t get your hopes up just yet. However I will say this, it is not a smoke screen. Lane is legitimately interested

Moving a little off the topic, it seems like more people are catching up to the Kenny Dillingham smoke I’ve been saying. He’s been heavily discussed with higher ups outside of Kiffin for awhile since at least late October when this whole process started. 10/27/25

Are we just going to believe someone who literally just made an account on TD?

I can’t keep things just to myself and my family. Too much LSU in me to wanna share every little thing I get with all the other passionate fans on here.

We suck in the red zone. I guess that means he's Florida bound.

I laughed pretty good at this.

I’ll tell you this Florida is not being as patient as LSU is. They want Lane now, they keep pushing for a decision. The more this drags out the more it favors LSU. Florida is not gonna be bowl eligible. They also have Kliff heavily interested and the more they wait on Lane the more chance they lose Kliff. Remember Florida has had more time than LSU to get this search going.
A call earlier this morning went very good supposedly. Florida still pushing, but we are in the red zone though.

LSU highest offer on the table.

I’d bet strongly Lane will not be coaching at Ole Miss after this season. Whether that’s NFL, LSU or Florida he will be gone.

LSU people aren’t mad at Freeman for taking the ND job. They are a little in their feels with how he handled an interview in 21’ and his wife dogging on BR. Also with how he poached Denbrock. Although he wanted to be closer to family.

Might be petty, but that’s how stuff like this works.
Drink would bear crawl to BR right now if offered.

That’s about as worse as this will get.

So if LSU strikes out 3-4 candidates. It will at worse be Drink. I wouldn’t say that’s mid, maybe a little disappointing if anything
Auburn is looking seriously at Dillingham supposedly as well. Will be interesting to see if they have that ability to pull him from his Alma mater

The latest in the coaching search

Hopped back on to share some updates. I see some threads saying Lane has been offered.

That’s been out there for awhile, Already said it here, 11/2/25 and here, 11/7/25

As mentioned in that post on the 7th, Saban smoke was real for a bit. No longer the case unfortunately. Good conversations with LSU, just happy where he is.

Lane still has an offer on the table from LSU. I’ve been told close to 14 million. LSU selling him on having full control and unlimited NIL support.

Issues obviously are around timetable with Lane and Ole Miss playoffs bound. Nowadays you want to have a coach and staff to help recruit transfers and keep guys remaining on the roster. Frank Wilson has to hold the line.

Besides Lane, I have mentioned and you can see in those posts that Dillingham remains a strong candidate and a very attractive pick among some LSU higher ups.

Freeman as mentioned burned some bridges, will not be him. Although he and verge are close. Wont be accepted by big money boosters.

Saw some Drink noise, and I believe LSU would have to strike out on several candidates. Likely Drink trying to get himself a raise if anything.

Right now it’s a narrow list , but Lane is still the top priority.

If I had to give you a list, it would be
Lane, Dillingham, and Riley.

Yes, Lincoln Riley. Not sure how much legs it has, but he will be a wildcard name to look out for.

quote:

@whisper any new updates on Dillingham? Sounds like he’s locked in on staying in ASU. Could be bs to get more money I suppose

In regards to Dillingham and him leaving ASU, it seems that will not be a problem if LSU were to offer. Dillingham would only leave for certain premier jobs if offered. And LSU is one of them

He’s spent quite a few years in the SEC/ south. Very familiar.
I personally like Brohm. I think he’s solid.

However, have not heard his name much in regards to this search so far. Still early, but I think you can feel pretty confidently about scratching his name off.
Talked with someone this morning and the idea is still Kiffin.

Saban smoke was real for a minute but Miss Terry was not as on board. Supposedly Saban listened and did not say immediately no when inquired. Do not believe he was officially offered though. But LSU was willing to break bank for him if possible. Boosters are as strong as I’ve seen and heard behind the scenes. Lots of money will be put into this program no matter who the coach will be.

Anyways, it’s Kiffins job right now this second. An offer is out there, and Kiffin has yet to turn down. A lot of people are confident that they can pull this off. Time will tell

Dillingham as I have mentioned has been a target heavily considered as well.

Asked about Marcus Freeman and the answer I got was that he had burned some bridges with some people at LSU after the way things went about with BK and getting him to come along. Verge and him are real real tight though, but I do not believe the boosters would sign off from what I have gathered from that conversation.

There’s your update as I have it
I don’t see a 10 year deal for any coach. Haven’t heard a number for how many years they are offering Lane

All I know is they threw close to 14 million at him and his representatives. Promising Lane full control, and a big budget to buy any portal guys.
