25 seems like quite a jump from the 14-15 that's been rumored. And knowing Saban, he'd want the extra 10 million to go to buying a roster. I don't buy it unless this was an all-in overture that they know he won't accept anyway.

What's the relevance of your comment here? I know it's hard for an aggy to understand that we have fans that didn't go to the school, makes sense though. Nobody pulls for aggy unless they've been indoctrinated into the cult.

Even if this happened, people would consider less than 3 NCs out of those 4 years a failure

Having to buy a roster and not having full bought into the process talented 2 deep is why he is not coaching any more.

Why would you all want Saban?

He's 74 years old. He was showing signs of losing his dominance in the tail end of his tenure at Bama. He would only be available to coach for a few years before his age truly catches up to him.

Heard a rumor that Saban was spotted on campus last week. Any truth to that?

Of course we all want to win championships, but honestly Saban is probably the only coach that a championship would be lagniappe. The storylines alone in the first couple weeks and months would be worth one last ride. And the good news about Saban you know the program will be in great shape when he leaves, regardless if he wins a title or not.

I DO believe, however, that nobody in their right mind immediately says "no" to that kind of offer. If that offer really did happen.

When you’re 74 years old and in good health time becomes the most attractive resource available to most people. When you’re already worth 9 figures are more numbers in the bank account really worth the 4 years?

Maybe he just misses it that badly.

Saban doesn’t strike me as someone that likes to sit around the house or on the beach twiddling his thumbs and napping and watching Netflix.

Same. But there is a lot of runway between that lifestyle and coaching an SEC power in the NIL era.

That’s certainly possible if not probable. Some people roun here just can’t wrap their minds around the man changing his mind.
