Apparently those posters are saying it’s because Ole Miss wants to give LSU a discount on the $4 million in buyout money that we would owe them hahaha. I’m shocked Chicken is going out of his way to legitimize these claims

If bountyhunter’s information is legitimate, then the reason is that LSU wanted something signed now. They didn’t want to risk another week and have circumstances change. It’s certainly how I would want LSU to handle it.

Saban almost sounded like he was pleading w Lane to take it.. bet he’s been in Lanes ear..

Now if this pans out as wild as it is.. my original dream scenario was to bring him in on a 2-3 year deal and also hire Kelvin Sheppard and for Saban to help mentor and groom him… Kelvin’s learned so much under Dan Campbell and he then would learn under the GOAT… we’d be set for a long time…

Also during gameday this weekend 1st time were I legit felt Saban was faking some happiness.. I felt he had been enjoying it a good bit before this year… but just something felt different like he’s getting that itch …

I’m almost certainly living in fantasy land, I’ve just had this gut feeling all along that it’s Saban.
My personal theory is Saban told LSU he’d help LSU try to land Kiffin, and if for some reason he wasn’t able to, that he’d do a short-term stint as HC til he/they find the next HC.
If it’s not Kiffin, I predict Saban as HC and Eric Morris as OC to learn from Saban for 2-3 years and take over.

MOU is not legally binding. I used to write them all the time when I worked for LSU. It's just the framework for an agreement with a $0.00 cost value.

Watching Saban defending a move to LSU by Kiffin on Gameday yesterday gave me a little confidence. Some of the other guys were basically shitting on Kiffin about leaving OM with the playoffs ahead.
We shall see come Saturday. I know we will probably know sooner, but who knows.
