He almost seems checked out.
I thought no way he gets fired this year unless he loses out. This was like 5 weeks ago. He's about to lose out aside from UMass. I still think he gets fired next year, but if loses that game he should be gone.
I understand his buyout is insane, but he's going to get the money one way or another. I'd rather cut my losses and hire someone on the cheap over giving him more money to hire new coordinators. Of course it's not my monopoly money.

Not remotely true. It's just that AD's have unlimited booster cash, and boosters don't care of they have to keep firing and hiring because their money is less important to them than winning. It's an arms race, and why AD's do stuff that no one in the real would would even consider.

In demand coaches going to top tier programs are getting 8-10 year contracts paying $7.5+ mil annually. That is the market.
