There are other great DB coaches and recruiters out there.
Wanna throw a few names out there that are available at this point?
Think this will help us pull Harris from North Shore or Kamari?

mfao I shouldn’t be surprised that this board is even pretending it’s okay with losing Corey Raymond.
. So you’d rather us all run around wringing our hands screaming the sky is falling? I can assure you it most certainly is not. It’s better to look at the bright side of things especially there is no fricking thing you or I or anyone on this board can do about it. He chose to leave we move on.

The athletic department isn’t publicly funded you moron.

Also, this is some cope BS. I’m sure you were very concerned about money while we were looking for O’s replacement, right? Lol you’re the biggest pussy in the universe if you can’t even admit that this is a big loss

Losing his recruiting prowess will be a tough one. He is a great recruiter of DBs

this board is too much. We go from Woody is a shite AD for missing on Riley to Woody is god again for hiring Kelly. Then we go from Kelly is great to Kelly sucks because no assistant coaches have been named to Kelly is a god for hiring Wilson, and now we are back to everyone turning on Kelly.

Well this is the most accurate thing i've read in a few days lol.

Pretending we wont be able to survive without him is absolute retardation. Aka- its OK.

No one said its good, but acting like its the end of the world is pathetic.

Raymond was great for awhile, but any objective observer knows the last two years have been bad and that was with Stingley and Ricks before they left.

We all wanted change. Well, we are getting it. Quit being a bunch of soft keyboard bitches.

Kelly has done this plenty of times, hell he did it after a losing season at ND and had 10 wins the very next year.

Welcome it, embrace it. Cause in about 2 yrs you are going to admire what he did.

There was years where he had rumors of leaving and never got a bump. There's years he was criminally underpaid and the lowest on the staff so no, you're wrong on him getting bumps every year. Just pay him and be done with it.

Exactly man.

He was one of the lowest paid coaches. It's just dumb.

If they replace him with a comparable coach then fine.

Makes you think though. This would be the 3rd coach and 2nd AD with the same hesitation to pay him.

As he should. Watching an administration throw around money at idiots and buyout and millions for failed coordinators while you consistently bring in top recruits, have db’s taken in the first round every other year and remain one of the only stable pieces of the puzzle hell yes I’d bring them back to the table too. Being a college DB during Corey’s tenure at LSU I can’t even explain how respected that guy is and I was coach by travaris robinson who’s also close to Corey. Corey’s the Don of DB coaching man and part of what he’s established over the years sadly wont be realized until he’s gone.

Are there no other up and coming DB coaches?

I’m sure there are, but they won’t carry the weight Corey has around the county. Hard to explain in words but it’s just different. As a DB when you get a call from Corey whether they decide to go to lsu or not they know they’ve made it. Here we are with a ? For a coaching staff, players transferring left and right and the talk today was that many believe we still have a shot at Denver Harris. Relationships matter and Corey’s got a million of them all over the place.

I get all that. And agree actually.

But on the other hand. Lsu has been churning out Elite DBS since like 2003 lol...a LOT of which came from LA and TX.

It kind of makes you wonder how much of Raymond's reputation is based on LSUs stigma of DBU vs his actual abilities.
