If it was Petersen there’s no reason to not announce it now and get him and his staff in here and start recruiting for signing day next month. That’s why I think most have marked him off the list. Of all the candidates out there. Riley, Aranda, and Petersen would be the 3 that I would be thrilled with and confident that they’d build a sustainable winner and fast.

He appeared to imply it’s likely Riley or Aranda.

A common problem on the rant.

I can remember Advocate guys at Sullivan's back in 1999 saying it was Glen Mason on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. In fact it was a sure thing.

A coaching hire should be based on a large, multi-season body of work, not a good weekend.

Despite losing the game because of LSU having no offense, I believe Aranda held Alabama to its lowest point total of that season. Aranda has a large body of work, I would ban bet anyone that he would be very success at LSU.

I’ve seen this said for damn near every coach that’s been tied to the LSU job. This can’t be the case for all of them and if it is, that means we’re getting some special teams coord. from a juco in Cali that we’ve never heard of.

Maybe the real target isn’t being tied to the LSU job. Maybe that’s intentional.

Example: Sean Payton.

No, I’m not claiming that’s who it is or that he would even entertain it. I’m just saying there are top level names not being discussed or linked to LSU.

Both would make me happy. If this is truly where we are, not likely, then I'm down for whatever. Especially the note that jimbo isn't the guy. But i feel like this is just another heard it from a friend who heard it from a friend situation. I'm ready for this shite to end.

If Aranda is the guy to become the next head coach at LSU, watch Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss not only kick LSU's arse on the recruiting trail but also on the football field every year.

Moreover, Lincoln Riley is a pipe dream at best.

And Woodward would not put up with Kiiffins drama.

What drama? Winning isn't a drama. I mean Kiffin quit Tennessee after one year and that means Kiffin is permanently persona non grata. I never realized so many LSU fans are really secret Tennessee fans. Not to mention that having a sense of humor, doesn't constitute drama.

Some of you loons make the most idiotic assumptions.

Aranda might be successful at LSU, but he's not getting the gig unless Woodward strikes out on half a dozen proven studs.

You watched the game against Auburn the other night yes? Do you really want that type of emotional play calling that lost his team the game on the LSU sidelines? Is he a good football coach? Yes he is. Is he a good leader? Absolutely not. The guy is more immature than his 18-20 year old players.

So, your expert analysis is that Woodward needs 6 No’s before offering Aranda?

And who are these 6 “proven studs” specifically?

Good grief some of our fans are simply imbecilic.
