Seems like I'm suddenly reading/hearing about "baggage" Jimbo brings with his personal life.

I didn't think that things were bad enough to be a concern.

Is this a legit concern for hiring Jimbo?

- No need to detail said "baggage," his personal life is HIS personal life.

There is no baggage.

If anyone is saying that, it's probably orgeron's little minions

He had a nasty divorce and from what I've read was more in the right than her, if you get my drift. That's it.

Also, he has a son with a health issue who sees a specialist in Minnesota, so that is going to be the same logistical challenge if he is in BR or Tally.

let's not forget the most important piece of baggage: He's not one of us.

While I get the joke and he's not from Louisiana, he IS an avid hunter and fisher and has a somewhat country accent. He fits in culturally just fine, even with the lowest common denominator of our fanbase.

Also, his "baggage" is that his wife cheated on him...a lot. And he went through a nasty divorce. He also has a special needs child, but that isn't baggage, that is just a sad situation.

The baggage is their custody arrangement, but in the end I think if he wants to be at LSU, he and the ex would figure it out. He probably has the leverage there.

The only "baggage" I'm worried about with Jimbo is his assistants' contract buy out situation. His personal life is rough right now, but the man knows he has a job to do. Whether it's here or in Florida State.

I'm guessing because she's a raging nut case and a cheater, and he has access to better attorneys, that he has an upper hand in this one.

This country's custody and alimony laws are horseshite though.

Even if she's balking at a move to BR, I'm sure a little extra cash will convince her. Just keep her away from the team.

I have a Jimbo question. Does he call the offensive plays at Florida St during games? I know (assume) he is heavily involved in the offense but not sure if he calls the plays

Believe so, yes. At least he did against Ole Miss this year.

If I am alleva, I'm getting my biggest booster to arrange buying Candi Fisher a house in BR and a private plane to bring Jimbo's son to and from his appointments.

Yes, but Sanders started getting more of a roll last season. I believe he actually called plays in a few situations.

He got a divorce. This isn't the 50s, it's not a big deal.

It's funny you bring this up because one of my buddy's, who of course is a Coach O lover, says he doesn't want Jimbo because of the way he "badly mishandled the Jameis Winston rape case", which is obviously in his words. He says because of that situation, Jimbo should have been fired a while ago because of that. I just laughed in his face and told him you're saying stupid shite cuz you'd rather have Coach O. What do you guys think of that?
